>>Cardinals Fall To Rockies

(Denver, CO)  —  The Cardinals continued their slow start to the season with a 7-4 loss to the Rockies in Denver.  The game was tied at two heading into the bottom of the fourth before Colorado took the lead for good on a pair of run-scoring hits.  Steven Matz fell to 0-and-2 after surrendering six runs on nine hits in five-and-two-thirds innings.  Jordan Walker had a hit and now has a hitting streak of ten games to start his career.  The Cardinals are 3-and-7, and they send Miles Mikolas to the mound against Colorado tonight.

>>Reds Fall To Braves In Extras

(Atlanta, GA)  —  The Reds fell to the Braves 5-4 in extra innings from Atlanta.  The Reds scored twice in the ninth inning to force another frame, but Atlanta’s Sean Murphy slugged a walk-off homer to give his team the win.  Stuart Fairchild and Spencer Steer each drove in a run for Cincy, which fell to 4-and-5.  The Reds look to bounce back in tonight’s rubber game.  Luis Cessa will get the start for Cincy.
