Boehman to be Trigg Co. Schools assistant superintendent, search begins for new CCHS principal

The Christian County High School Site Based Decision Making Council will begin the process this week of selecting the school’s next principal.

The council will be in closed session Tuesday afternoon for the purpose of ‘a principal selection consultation meeting,’ according to an advanced agenda. The next principal will replace a departing Matthew Boehman, who was chosen by the council to lead the school in May of 2020.

Trigg County Public Schools has announced that Boehman accepted an assistant superintendent position in the Trigg County Public School System. Boehman has a history in Trigg County as he began his teaching career there, teaching history and coaching football. Since that time, he has served in teaching roles across all grade levels and has served as principal of both an elementary and a high school.

Boehman’s transition from Christian County Schools will become effective June 30.

In a news release from Christian County Public Schools, Boehman says, “Working in Christian County Public Schools has been a rewarding experience that has taught me a great deal. The relationships I have built will hopefully last a lifetime. I am also excited to start my newest endeavor with Trigg County Schools.”
