Hopkinsville man arrested on burglary, terroristic threatening charges

A Hopkinsville man is facing several charges after he allegedly attempted to break into a North Sunset Circle home Saturday night while threatening the people inside.

An arrest citation for 36-year old Joshua King of Hopkinsville says he went to his ex-wife’s home and tried to break in, causing significant damage to two doors.

He was armed with a box cutter and allegedly threatened to kill his ex-wife and another person inside the home, according to the report, which says King smelled of alcohol and was combative with officers who arrived on scene.

He was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree terroristic threatening, felony criminal mischief and public intoxication.
