The investigation into the crash of two army Blackhawk helicopters that killed nine Fort Campbell soldiers has progressed enough to allow for the reopening of several Trigg County roadways.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says KY 272 has reopened from US 68 to Old Dover Road, Canton Road has reopened from Averitt Road to KY 272, Maple Grove Church Road has reopened from 272 to Floyd Sumner Road and all of Bobby Light Road, Lancaster Road and Oak Grove Church Road have reopened.
The roadways had been restricted to local residents only immediately after the crash to facilitate response efforts.
