An Oak Grove police officer was injured in an accident Thursday night on the Eagle Way Bypass.
Hopkinsville Police Sgt. Samantha Rodriguez says 24-year old Officer Zachary Lancaster of Hopkinsville was in his cruiser on his way to work when he rear-ended an eastbound semi not pulling a trailer in the area of Senor Lopez near Lafayette Road.
The semi driven by 24-year old Aerias Williams of Clarksville was not stopped, but was traveling slowly with its flashers on, according to the police report.
The officer was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center and then flown by Air Evac to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
Williams was not hurt.
