>>NASCAR Cup Series Goes Dirt This Weekend

(Bristol, TN)  —  NASCAR is getting down and dirty this weekend as the Cup Series drivers head to Bristol for the Food City Dirt Race.  Kyle Larson is hoping to build on his Toyota Owners 400 victory last Sunday.  He sits in fourth place in the standings while Ross Chastain, Christopher Bell and Kevin Harvick make up the top three.  Joey Logano is fifth.  Kyle Busch won last year’s showdown at Bristol while Logano won the inaugural dirt race in 2021.  The green flag waves Sunday night.

>Titans Work Out Dozens Of Draft Prospects

(Nashville, TN)  —  The Titans are doing their due diligence on local draft prospects.  The team says it hosted roughly two dozen players at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park yesterday.  Tennessee worked out draft hopefuls from local schools and players from the area during its local pro day.  General manager Ran Carthon and head coach Mike Vrabel were in attendance.

>>Predators Shutout Hurricanes

(Nashville, TN)  —  The Predators shutout the Hurricanes 3-0 in Nashville.  The team trails the Jets by one point for the last Wild Card spot in the West. The Predators have four games left to play and will head to Winnipeg to play the Jets tomorrow night.

>>Nashville SC Hosts Toronto In League Match Tomorrow

(Nashville, TN)  —  Nashville SC is back on the pitch tomorrow night hosting Toronto in a league match. Nashville improved to 3-1-and-2 on the season and is fifth in the Eastern Conference with 10 points.  Toronto is ninth in the East with seven points.

>>NBA’s Final Weekend Preview

(Undated)  —  The race for the final few spots in the NBA postseason is heating up.  In the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat are looking to avoid the play-in by winning their final two games and hoping the Brooklyn Nets drop their last two.   The Nets can lock up the six-seed with a win over the Magic or 76ers this weekend.  The Hawks, Raptors and Bulls have already locked up a spot in the East’s play-in tournament.  In the West, the Mavericks must win their last two games to potentially clinch a spot in the play-in tournament.  The Thunder are sitting a half-game ahead of Dallas in 10th and own the head-to-head tiebreaker with two games remaining.  The LA Clippers and Warriors can each avoid the play-in tournament with one more win.  The Lakers, Pelicans and Timberwolves wrap up the West’s teams slated for the play-in tournament next week.
