An accident involving a PACS van Monday afternoon on East 14th Street injured both occupants of the other vehicle.
The collision report from Hopkinsville police says 53-year old Lora Everhart of Central City was driving the van eastbound on East 14th and failed to stop at the stop sign at Clay Street, reportedly telling police she was talking to a passenger in the van and isn’t from this area.
She collided with a southbound car on Clay operated by 51-year old Latonia Merriweather of Hopkinsville.
Merriweather and her passenger, 74-year old Walter Sikes of Hopkinsville, were both taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with what the report describes as ‘possible severe injuries.’
