Only 75 HES customers remain without power following Friday’s storms

Crews from Hopkinsville Electric System and their contractors have gotten the number of customers in the dark from Friday’s storms from 8,500 to 75.

General manager Jeff Hurd says a majority of those still out need work by an electrician before they can be energized.

He says HES continues to run service trucks throughout today to hook up any customer who can be reconnected.

They are also still replacing poles and repairing damaged equipment throughout the city.
