Jake Merklinger announced yesterday he’s joining the Volunteers next season. 24-7 Sports reported earlier in the week that Tennessee was the favorite to gain a commitment ahead of Georgia, Michigan State and North Carolina. The sports outlet has Merklinger as the sixth-ranked quarterback in the nation.

(Nashville, TN) — The Titans are being chosen as a team that could move up in next month’s draft. NFL Network’s Dan Jeremiah says Tennessee could make a trade to move up to number-3. The Titans have the 11th overall pick.

Tyler Reddick is looking to win his second straight race following last Sunday’s victory at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin. The number-45 car won the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix in triple overtime and led 41 total laps in the race.
