Unemployment was up from January to February in all nine Pennyrile counties and up from a year ago in seven of those counties.
Christian County’s jobless rate was 5.1 percent, up two tenths from January and four tenths from a year ago.
Todd County again has the lowest unemployment rate in the region at 3.9 percent, up from 3.7 percent in January and up from 3 percent in February of 2022.
The jobless rate in Trigg County was 5.3 percent, up two tenths from the prior month and eight tenths from a year ago.
Muhlenberg County has the region’s highest jobless rate at 6.7 percent.
The state number was 4.5 percent and the national average was 3.9 percent.
