(Las Vegas, NV) — The NIT Championship Game is on tap tonight in Las Vegas. The University of Alabama at Birmingham will take on North Texas in a matchup of two Conference USA foes at Orleans Arena. It marks just the fourth time ever the NIT title game has featured two teams from the same conference and first since 2003. The Blazers beat Utah Valley in overtime in the semifinals to advance, while the Mean Green topped Wisconsin to move on. Both teams are appearing in their first-ever NIT Championship Game.
