Following the announcement by state Senator Whitney Westerfield that he won’t seek re-election next year; local attorney Craig Richardson has announced he’ll seek that position in 2024.
Richardson, a Republican, is a University of Kentucky graduate and Christian County native and says he will file his formal letter of intent to run with the Secretary of State and launch his campaign in the coming week.
A news release says he is an active member in the community and that he currently serves on a number of boards.
He, his wife and daughter live in Christian County.
District 3 includes Christian, Muhlenberg and Caldwell counties.
