A vehicle pursuit Tuesday afternoon in Madisonville led to the arrests of three men on drug and gun charges.
Madisonville police attempted to stop a Jeep on Island Ford Road for moving violations, but 28-year old Austin Cates of Madisonville allegedly refused to stop and ran multiple red lights. A passenger, 28-year old Antonio Brooks of Clarksville, exited the vehicle on East North Street and was taken into custody there.
Cates kept driving and eventually made his way to Nortonville on US 41 before wrecking out at the intersection of North Main Street and Nortonville Road.
He and another passenger, 20-year old Zachary Davis of Henderson, were arrested following treatment of minor injuries at Baptist Health Hospital.
Cates is charged with wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police, trafficking in marijuana and possession of methamphetamine.
Davis was booked on charges of meth possession, marijuana trafficking and public intoxication and Brooks for possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and public intoxication.
