The Rotary Club of Elkton had a historic, record-breaking online auction last week, raising about $15,000 for its scholarship fund.
Rhonda Werner with Rotary says their online auction brought in just over $14,000 and cash donations made their total reach the $15,000 mark.
Rhonda Werner with Rotary made the announcement, thanking the numerous community partners and donors who made it possible.
That cash will be used to give $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors at Todd County Central High School and they’ll be emphasizing the need for seniors to apply for those awards in the coming days.
After last year’s total was doubled, Werner says they hope to see the auction continue to grow in the years ahead.
