Local gardeners will want to keep an eye on the possibility of a frost or freeze Tuesday night and forecasters are also looking at the possibility of severe weather Friday.
Meteorologist Justin Gibbs with the National Weather Service in Paducah says they’re looking at issuing a frost advisory or freeze warning for Tuesday night.
The Storm Prediction Center is already outlining western Kentucky for the risk of severe weather, which is rare this many days out, and Gibbs says while much could change between now and then—storms and heavy rain seem likely.
Temperatures could moderate to the lower 70’s by Thursday afternoon as we are over a week into the spring season.
