All of western Kentucky is under a Flood Watch until 1 a.m. Saturday and there remains an enhanced risk for severe weather this afternoon and evening.
Up to three inches of rain is expected across the southern Pennyrile region, with higher amounts possible the closer you get to the Ohio River. Enhanced amounts will also be possible in locations that see multiple rounds of thunderstorms.
Flooding will be most likely in the usual low-lying and poor drainage areas. If you encounter standing water, remember—turn around, don’t drown.
Severe weather will be most likely from the late afternoon hours through the evening, with damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes all possible.
