The Hopkinsville Human Rights Commission announced the winner of the Woman of the Year Award and the recipients of the Women Educating Women Scholarship.
At a celebration event in Oak Grove Saturday, community members gathered to honor and lift-up women of the community in observance of Women’s History Month for March. The winner of the Woman of the Year Award was local, long-time journalist Jennifer Brown—this year’s theme for the event focused on women who tell our stories, from journalism to art to music and more.
The $500 Women Educating Women Scholarship went to local entrepreneur and business owner Kate Russell.
