Local aquatic center to be renamed Bluegrass Splash

What was once Tie Breaker Family Aquatic Center will soon be known as Bluegrass Splash, after a renaming contest was held community wide.

According to a news release, over 700 submissions were reviewed online and those, 15 participants submitted ideas for “Bluegrass Splash”, or something similar, as a name and all 15 will be the recipients of the contest award—four 2023 season passes to Bluegrass Splash.

Next comes updating existing signage, creating a new radio jingle and revamping the website and other marketing materials. Club & Leisure Partners, a division of Swim Club Management Group, has won the bid for managing the park after an extensive process. They manage over 325 swim clubs and aquatic centers throughout the East Coast.

Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman says, “From the results of our online contest, it is obvious our community and region have missed Hoptown’s popular water park. We are very excited to reopen Bluegrass Splash, and are looking forward to working with Club and Leisure Partners to continue making the water park a great family destination.”
