The High School Softball and Baseball seasons got underway with several games in the area.
High School Softball
Christian Co. 16 Hopkinsville 4
The Lady Colonels scored 3 runs in the top of the 1st and then Hopkinsville answered with 4 in the bottom of the 1st to take a 4 to 3 lead to the top of the 2nd. Christian Co. would then score 13 runs over the next 5 innings to win the district contest 16 to 4. The winning pitcher was Gracie Harned who struck out 10 and give up 2 hits. The losing pitcher was Shaniya Straight who struck out 2 and gave up 14 hits including a homerun by Avery Adcock in the top of the 6th.
