(Goodyear, AZ) — The Reds fell to the Angels but crushed the Athletics in split-squad action. Luis Cessa struck out a pair of batters over two scoreless innings in his start, but Daniel Norris and Buck Farmer each gave up three runs in relief as Cincy fell to LA 8-5. The team fared better against Oakland as TJ Friedl and Jake Fraley were among several players who knocked in a pair of runs in a 12-4 victory. The Reds will play the Rockies today in Goodyear.

(Scottsdale, AZ) — The Cubs scored three runs in the top of the ninth to beat the Colorado Rockies 6-5 in Spring Training yesterday. Darius Hill, Andy Weber, and Esteban Quiroz all had an RBI single in the final frame. The Cubs are 6-and-4 in exhibition play, and they send Hayden Wesneski to the mound against the Mariners today.

(Jupiter, FL) — The Cardinals managed just five hits during a 7-1 loss to the Mets in Spring Training yesterday. Jordan Montgomery was tagged with the loss after giving up four runs in three innings of work. Tres Barrera hit a home run in the losing effort. The Cardinals dropped to 5-and-3 in exhibition play, and they send Jack Flaherty to the mound against the Astros today.

(North Port, FL) — The Braves are continuing their Grapefruit League action. Atlanta lost to the New York Yankees 10-6 in North Port yesterday. Matt Olson and Austin Riley both hit two-run homers in the losing effort. The Braves fell to 4-4-and-2 this spring. They will host the Boston Red Sox this afternoon at CoolToday Park. In other news, the team reassigned reliever Yacksel Rios to minor league camp and now have 59 total players in camp.
