Federal, state and local police worked together in an investigation that led to federal grand jury indictments against two Hopkinsville residents on drug trafficking charges.
HPD says since the fall of 2021, investigators with the Drug Enforcement Administration Paducah Post, Hopkinsville Police Department Special Investigations, Kentucky State Police, and Christian County Sheriff’s Office Anti-Crime Unit have been jointly investigating a drug trafficking organization allegedly led by Teresa Hayes and Jody Blake of Hopkinsville.
Investigators say they seized a significant quantity of crystal methamphetamine and fentanyl from Hayes, Blake, and other members of their organization.
In February of this year, a federal grand jury indicted Teresa Hayes and Jody Blake on federal drug trafficking charges.
On Friday, Hayes and Blake were arrested by Hopkinsville Police Crime Suppression Unit on federal warrants.
During the arrest of Hayes and Blake, investigators seized approximately a half-pound of suspected crystal methamphetamine.
