Several honored at Eagle Ambassador Breakfast

The Christian County Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee welcomed a large crowd to the Bruce Convention Center Wednesday morning for their annual Eagle Ambassador Breakfast.

Brigadier General John Lubas, who is the deputy commanding general of the 101st Airborne Division, says Screaming Eagles in Eastern Europe and their allies are helping keep Russia at bay and standing between them and any further aggression.

He praised Christian County and surrounding communities for the support they provide the men and women of Fort Campbell, saying it’s unlike anywhere else.

MAC Director Kristi Murtha says they will remain active advocating for Fort Campbell and their top priority is for the Kentucky General Assembly to exempt military pension from the state income tax.

The Outstanding MAC Member award was presented to Bill Chaudoin, the Soaring Eagle Award went to Tom O’Hagan, the Knights of Columbus received the MAC Service Award and Hazel Morrison and Joe Craver received community awards.
