The Vols fell to 20-and-8 and will host South Carolina on Saturday. Louisville recently lost to Duke. The Cardinals are 4-and-24 and will head to Georgia Tech Saturday afternoon.
Tshiebwe, Veterans Lead Cats Past Gators
The defending National Player of the Year made 12 of 13 from the floor on his way to 25 points as the Cats won 82-74. Tshiebwe’s 92.3 percent shooting is fourth best in UK history. The three players above him each made all of their shots. In fact, it was the veterans who carried Kentucky in Wednesday’s victory. Antonio Reeves had 16 points, while Jacob Toppin had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. It was Toppin’s second double-double against Florida this season. And while the veterans carried the Cats the entire game, it was a freshman that sealed the win. With the Cats leading by two inside the final minute, Livingston grabbed an offensive rebound, stuck it back in and was fouled. The three-point play gave the Cats a 77-72 advantage. Livingston finished with 11 points and career-high 15 rebounds in the win. The Wildcats are now 19-and-9 and will host Auburn on Saturday.
Kentucky Faces Texas A&M for Final True Road Game of 2022-23
The University of Kentucky women’s basketball program will play Texas A&M on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. ET inside Reed Arena in Bryan-College Station, Texas. The game, which is the Cats’ last true road game of the season.
Cardinals Back at Home to Take On Miami
The University of Louisville women’s basketball team is back at the KFC Yum! Center this week to close out the regular season. First up for the Cardinals is a visit from the Miami Hurricanes on Thursday. The Cardinals and Hurricanes will square off at 6 p.m. ET.

Faustino Named to CSC Academic All-District
WKU women’s basketball junior Teresa Faustino has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team for the first time in her career the organization announced on Tuesday. With the honor, Faustino becomes the fourth Lady Topper to receive this award in the program’s storied history.
WKU Starts Final Home Game Stretch with LA Tech
WKU Hilltopper Basketball is slated to play its final two home games of the season in E.A. Diddle Arena. The Hilltoppers will start off with Louisiana Tech on Thursday night at 8 p.m. CT. These two teams met earlier this season as WKU fell in overtime in Ruston. Both teams enter this contest on a loss: WKU at Rice and Louisiana Tech vs. Charlotte. Louisiana Tech leads the all-time series 21-20, having won the last five meetings. WKU is 7-7 against the Bulldogs in the era of head coach Rick Stansbury.
Govs battle on the road, come up short against Hatters
With just 8 players available, the APSU men’s basketball team battled for 40 minutes but was unable to hold off a hot-shooting Stetson team and fell, 76-51, in ASUN Conference play. Shon Robinson led Austin Peay in scoring for the second-straight game with 12 points, he also led the Govs with four rebounds and four assists. Guy Fauntleroy – who went the distance, playing all 40 minutes – scored 11 points and grabbed five steals for the second-straight game, while Jalen Ware rounded out the double-figures scorers with 10 points. Sophomore Jacob Roberts – who played a career-high 21:14 – also led the Govs on the glass for the first time in his career with a career-high four rebounds. Luke Brown led Stetson with 15 points while the duo of Josh Smith and Sam Peek added 14 and 13 points, respectively. Wheza Panzo rounded out the Hatters in double-figures, scoring 11 points in the contest.

Austin Peay State University men’s basketball student-athletes Drew Calderon and Carlos Paez were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Basketball Teams, which was announced Wednesday.
Regular season’s penultimate contest awaits Govs in the Music City
Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team begins its final week of the ASUN Conference regular season with a home-and-home against Lipscomb at 6 p.m., Thursday, at Allen Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Austin Peay (15-10, 11-5 ASUN) enters Thursday’s game 1.5 games behind the Bisons four third in the ASUN standings, after being awarded a forfeit victory for its March 1 game against Central Arkansas. The forfeit victory counted only towards the Governors’ ASUN Conference record. The Govs will look to put a three-game losing streak behind it in its final road game of the season.
