One person was killed and another was injured in a head on collision Wednesday morning on Greenville Road in the Lacy area.
Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel identifies the victim as 47-year old Jason Blake of Belton in Muhlenberg County.
Christian County Sheriff’s Major Jason Newby says wind was a factor in causing a large wood chipper truck driven by Damien Powell of Nortonville to drift and then cross the center line and collide head-on with another pickup operated by Blake.
Blake had to be extricated and was pronounced dead at the scene. Powell was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non life-threatening injuries.
