Driver fatigue caused a head on collision Tuesday afternoon on US 79 near Allensville that sent a woman to a Nashville hospital.
Todd County Sheriff’s Sgt. David Hutcheson says Jennifer Campbell of Clarksville was southbound near Joe Gill Road when she fell asleep at the wheel and crossed into the path of a tractor-trailer operated by Andre Jones of Georgia.
They collided head-on and Campbell had to be extricated from her pickup by the Todd County Rescue Squad.
She was flown by helicopter to a Nashville hospital for severe injuries to her arms and legs.
Todd County Emergency Management, EMS and the Allensville Fire Department assisted at the scene.
