The Rotary of Club of Hopkinsville got a visit from University of Kentucky President Eli Capilouto, who spoke on the impact the university has on the state as whole.
President Capilouto got to visit with many local communities as he traveled the western part of the state, and he says there’s always something to remind him of the importance U.K. has on the state and those who call it home.
He says they’re glad to be coming out of year three of a world-wide pandemic better and bigger than ever, and he intends to keep that going in the years to come.
President Capilouto says many Christian County residents call U.K. home while getting their education.
This spring, the school had over 31,000 students enrolled in the university, and had a record 95 percent re-enrollment from those who were enrolled in the fall. He says U.K. will continue to advocate for their students always, who remain their top priority at all times.
