Cold front to bring rain, cooler temperatures

Our unusually warm February temperatures will take a brief respite at the end of this week as a cold front moves through, but next week is again looking to be warmer and wetter than average.

Lead forecaster David Humphrey of the National Weather Service in Paducah said during Tuesday’s weekly conference call that about a quarter-inch or a little more of rain will likely fall on western Kentucky Wednesday evening and night as the cold front moves in and also brings windy conditions.

Rain will be likely and temperatures will be warming over the weekend, which will likely be a sign of things to come for next week.

There is no mention of severe weather in the forecast at this time.
