HPD: Man allegedly fired shots at home in Great Oaks before turning gun on himself

Hopkinsville police have identified the man who allegedly fired a gun at a home on Great Oaks Drive early Monday morning before turning the gun on himself and crashing his vehicle.

Police say 29-year old Hunter Servais of Hopkinsville shot at a home in the 1000 block of Great Oaks a little after 3:30 a.m., according to the incident report, which says several people were inside including his ex-girlfriend and a juvenile.

Hopkinsville police located the suspect’s vehicle soon after the gunfire and Captain Rico Rodriguez says it appears Servais shot himself before wrecking out on Mill View Court.

He was flown by Air Evac to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, where he died from the gunshot wound.

Captain Rodriguez says the home on Great Oaks was not struck by the gunfire and no one other than the suspect was injured.
