Grace and Mercy changes lives, one person at a time

The Kiwanis Club of Hopkinsville heard from some of the residents of Grace and Mercy Thursday, and learned more about the program that helps women fight addiction.

Founder Joanna Mack says they can’t thank the community enough for all the love and support this recovery program receives, from donations to volunteers to business support and much more. She says it’s a one to two year program, depending on what the individual needs, and works to help them get clean, stay clean and become successful members of society.

Kayla was in the program for just under two years and says she became an addict at 13-years-old and after a life that was full of trauma and substance abuse, she finally came to Grace and Mercy.

Bridgett says Grace and Mercy helped her get back on track—she was in the program for over two years—and she’s proud to be free of addiction and to have her life back.

Grace and Mercy will be having their annual fundraiser on February 23 starting at 6 p.m. at New Work Fellowship and it will also be viewable on their Facebook page live. Donations to the cause can be made online.
