A heavy rain event is poised to move into Western Kentucky Wednesday, but it looks like the highest amounts and greatest flooding threat will be to our west.
Meteorologist Chris Noles of the National Weather Service in Paducah said during Monday morning’s conference call that we can expect an inch and a half to two inches of rain—with most falling Wednesday and Wednesday night.
The entire region is currently in a marginal risk for flash flooding on Wednesday.
Noles says the long-range forecast calls for next week to be warmer and wetter than average.
While a thunderstorm or two could affect the area Wednesday, severe weather is not expected.
