>>Etienne Wants Higgins on Jags

(Cincinnati, OH)  — A star receiver on the Bengals is being recruited by one of his college teammates.  Jaguars running back Travis Etienne posted a picture on social media of Tee Higgins at Clemson with the title, “Im’a just sit this here.”  Both played for the Tigers along with Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence.  Trade rumors around Higgins have been swirling as league sources believe the receiver will become a cap casualty.  However, Higgins is signed through next season and will be eligible for a franchise tag the following year.

>>Titans Hire Lori Locust as Defensive Assistant

(Nashville, TN)  — The Titans are adding to their coaching staff.  Ian Rapoport reports former Buccaneers assistant defensive linemen coach Lori Locust is joining Tennessee.  She signed a deal to be a defensive assistant.  Rapoport said Locust impressed coach Mike Vrabel as well as new general manager Ran Carthon in the interview process.  The Titans are still looking for an offensive coordinator.

(Nashville, TN)  — Football fans in Tennessee may be rejoicing if a bill comes to life.  Senator London Lamar and Representative Joe Towns Jr. are introducing a bill looking to replace Columbus Day with the day after the Super Bowl as an official state holiday.  Towns said the day takes a toll on the workforce, as many people skip work the day after the game.  The bill will need bipartisan support to pass, looking to go into effect next year.
