95.3 The Farm playing 80’s & 90’s country, new FM home coming for News Radio WHOP

If you’re a loyal listener to the WHOP Family of Stations, you likely noticed some changes over the weekend and another big announcement is coming.

General Manager Jeff Sisk addressed the changes during Monday’s Early Bird Show and noted our 95.3 FM station, which signed on in 2008 as an FM signal for our Newstalk 1230 station, transitioned Friday to 95.3 The Farm and plays mostly 80’s and 90’s country music hits.

Two of our most popular programs—Kentucky Sports Radio and The Leach Report—will remain on 95.3 FM for the time being.

All of the talk programming remains on 1230 AM and on a temporary low-powered home of 93.9 FM, but Sisk says a new more powerful FM home for News Radio WHOP is coming soon.

Of course you can still hear your favorite talk programming anytime and anywhere at whopam.com or on the free WHOP App.
