>>Bengals Sign 12 to Futures Contracts
(Cincinnati, OH) — The Bengals are catching up on offseason additions. The team signed a dozen players to futures contracts yesterday. Quarterback Jake Browning, tight ends Nick Bowers and Tanner Hudson and receiver Kwamie Lassiter the Second were among those who signed future deals. All 12 players spent time on the practice squad last season. Free agency officially begins March 15th.
>>Titans Switch To Synthetic Turf
(Nashville, TN) — The Titans are making a big change to their stadium in Nashville. Team officials announced yesterday that Nissan Stadium will change to a synthetic surface before the start of next season. Team president Burke Nihill said, “ultimately, there’s just a limit to how much can be done for a natural grass surface in this part of the country.” The team says keeping the grass field in a playable condition during the winter months was challenging. Officials also blame the field for the high number of injuries the Titans sustain each season. Tennessee put 23 players on injured reserve last year, which was tied for first place in the NFL.
