With many roadways still ice and sleet-covered, the National Weather Service has issued another Winter Weather Advisory for Southwestern Kentucky and Middle Tennessee from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. Tuesday.
It includes Christian, Todd, Trigg, Montgomery and Stewart counties and forecasters say minor amounts of freezing rain and less than a half-inch of snow and sleet will cause slippery conditions for travelers.
The evening commute will be affected by the wintry precipitation and anyone who can remain at home today should do so.
Traffic was backed up several hours near the state line on I-24 after a tractor-trailer jack-knifed on the bridge near the 92 mile-marker and blocked both westbound lanes. The scene was cleared by 10 a.m. and traffic was moving normally again.
If you must travel today, you’re urged to slow down and use abundant caution.
