Jennie Stuart Health first in Kentucky to perform new knee replacement surgery

The orthopedic doctors and team at Jennie Stuart Health have made medical history, after using the Zimmer Biomet Person IQ ‘smart knee’ technology for a total knee replacement surgery Tuesday.

Using the ROSA robotic technology to perform the procedure allows the Jennie Stuart Health team to place knee implants more precisely and Dr. Rudy Robbe says it will allow them to provide top-quality care to their patients and improve recovery outcomes.

He explained the advancements in technology the Persona IQ ‘smart knee’, saying it will provide real time feedback to the patient and the doctor, allowing them to better work with each individual.

Dr. Robbe says it’s amazing that this kind of technology that he thinks will greatly improve people’s quality of life is available right here in Hopkinsville.
