>>Bengals’ Bates Wants Mahomes

(Kansas City, MO)  — A Bengals’ defensive player is hoping Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes will play in the AFC Championship game.  Jesse Bates the Third spoke to the Athletic and said, “I hope that he is one-hundred-percent healthy.”  The safety went on to say, “there’s no underdogs over here, I think everybody knows that.”  Mahomes suffered a high ankle sprain during the team’s win over the Jaguars.  The Bengals head to Kansas City to play the Chiefs Sunday night.

>>Titans Add Defensive Lineman

(Nashville, TN)  — Ran Carthon is making his first move as Titans’ general manager.  Tyler Shelvin was given a futures contract yesterday.  The defensive tackle was picked in the fourth round back in 2021 by the Bengals.  Shelvin has four career tackles and was released by Cincinnati last month.  The 24-year-old is the third defensive lineman signed to a futures contract by Tennessee this offseason.
