Indictment returned for alleged sex crimes against children

An indictment for several sex crimes against children was returned Friday morning by the Christian County grand jury.

Indicted for five counts of promoting a minor in a sexual performance, three counts of first-degree sexual abuse against a minor under the age of 12, one count of first-degree sexual abuse and five counts of indecent exposure is 48-year old Kenneth Patrick Horst of Hopkinsville.

The original Hopkinsville Police Department warrant alleges that several years ago, Horst on multiple occasions forced sexual contact onto small children.

In August of this year, Horst allegedly committed an additional offense.

Meanwhile, the grand jury indicted 52-year old Charles Kenneth Widrick of Hopkinsville for first-degree strangulation, felony criminal mischief, first-degree stalking, assault in the fourth degree (domestic violence) and criminal trespassing in the third-degree.

Widrick allegedly choked and hit a woman on November 3 and caused over $1,000 worth of damage to property, in addition to other alleged acts.
