Louisville men’s basketball couldn’t withstand a barrage of 3-pointers from Pitt on Wednesday night, dropping a 75-54 contest at the KFC Yum! Center. The Panthers (13-6, 6-2 ACC) went 14-for-34 from long range, including 7 of 10 to start the game, and scored 25 points off Louisville’s 17 turnovers.
Cardinals Begin Home Week Against Boston College
The RV/RV Louisville women’s basketball team is back home for a pair of games this upcoming week. The Cardinals begin the home week with a matchup against Boston College on Thursday night. The Cardinals and Eagles with square off at 7 p.m. ET. The Cardinals are coming off a 1-1 week where both games were down to one possession in the final minute. The Cards came out on top on Sunday against Florida State after Hailey Van Lith beat the shot clock to give the Cards a 79-75 lead with 25 seconds left. The Cardinals carry a 14-game ACC home winning streak into Thursday’s game against Boston College. Louisville is 7-1 at the KFC Yum! Center this season and won its last four home games this year.

WKU Takes on La Tech Bulldogs in Thursday Night Game
WKU Hilltopper Basketball will take a one-game road trip to Louisiana Tech on Thursday night at 8 p.m. CT. The contest will be televised on CBS Sports Network. The Hilltoppers are recently coming off a 76-62 loss to #24 Florida Atlantic at home. Louisiana Tech had a bye for the Monday night game around the league and recently fell to UAB at home 81-74. This will be WKU’s fourth game in eight days. The all-time series between the programs is tied at 20-20. WKU is 7-6 against the Bulldogs in the Rick Stansbury era. Pre-Game at 7:30 on Newsradio WHOP.
Young Named To Hammon Mid-Season Watchlist
For the second consecutive season, Katelyn Young of the Murray State women’s basketball team has been named to the HerHoopStats.com Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Mid-Season Watchlist. She is one of nine players from the 25-player Pre -Season Watchlist to make the 15-player Mid-Season Watchlist. Young is one of the most dominant players in the nation, averaging 21.1 points per game and 7.6 rebounds. She is currently 13th in the nation in points per game, 27th in field goal percentage (56.0) and 25th in the nation in free throw percentage (89.0).
Govs aim for fourth-straight win in clash with Sugar Bears
After a perfect three-game homestand, Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team faces Central Arkansas in a 7 p.m., Thursday ASUN Conference matchup at the Farris Center in Conway, Arkansas. Austin Peay (9-6, 4-1 ASUN) enters the third week of ASUN play tied for second in the conference standings, while Central Arkansas (6-10, 1-4 ASUN) is 12th. The Governors earned a pair of victories on their home court last week, defeating Jacksonville State 47-43, Thursday, before earning a 65-59 victory against Kennesaw State, Saturday.
Govs battle Bellarmine for the first time in 49 years, Thursday, in the Dunn
For the first time in nearly half a century, the Austin Peay State University men’s basketball team squares off with Bellarmine at 7 p.m., Thursday, in the Winfield Dunn Center. Austin Peay and Bellarmine both enter Thursday’s game at 8-11 overall, however, the Govs are coming off a pair of losses to in-state rival Lipscomb while the Knights are coming off a win against Florida Gulf Coast. The Governors currently sit in tenth place in the ASUN with a 2-4 record in conference play. Bellarmine is just one game ahead of Austin Peay in the league standings but are in a five-way tie for fifth place at 3-3 with Florida Gulf Coast, Queens, Jacksonville, and Lipscomb.
