The Hopkinsville Human Rights Commission will partner Monday with several other agencies in the community to host the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day March and Program.
The march begins at 9 a.m. from Freedom Elementary School on North Drive to the Hopkinsville Community College auditorium and while some local leaders and officials will give brief remarks, Idalia Luna says the program will be led by youth from Men2Be and Lip Stick After Dark.
The school who has the most students participating in the march will receive an award and Luna says they’ll be doing a coat drive for the Salvation Army, with collection of those coats from 8 until 10 a.m. at the HCC auditorium.
You can find complete details on the MLK programming in the Hopkinsville Human Rights Commission Facebook page.
