Brown enters guilty plea in 2021 Greenville Road shooting

The man accused in a shooting on Greenville Road in December of 2021 entered a guilty plea in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon.

Raymond Brown had originally been charged with first-degree assault for firing multiple shots at the victim after getting into an argument over a set of keys—the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the torso and had to be taken to a Nashville hospital for treatment. Brown pleaded guilty to the amended charge of first-degree wanton endangerment, with Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Jerad Smith saying this offer comes after little cooperation from the victim.

Judge Andrew Self detailed the agreement, including a five-year sentence that would be diverted for that time.

Judge Self made sure Brown knew that if he goes the five-years without in violations or new crimes, then the charge will be dismissed at the end of that time period.
