Teddy Bear Toss at HHS vs. CCHS game to benefit Children’s Advocacy Center

Jennie Stuart Health is partnering with the Pennyrile Children’s Advocacy Center, WHOP and the community to host the first Teddy Bear Toss at the Hopkinsville vs. Christian County basketball game.

Chris Jung with Jennie Stuart appeared on WHOP Friday morning and says they’re asking people who attend the game to bring a new teddy bear with them, which they will then throw onto the court at half-time to benefit the children at the Pennyrile Children’s Advocacy Center.

He says it’s a fun way to support a great cause in the community, that help children during their most vulnerable times.

Children who must go to the center, whether that be for a medical examination or a police interview, get a chance to pick a comfort teddy bear to help them through the process—which is what these bears would go to.

Tip-off for the game is set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, January 21 at the Christian County High School gymnasium and halftime should occur about 45 minutes later. If you can’t make it to the game, bring the teddy bears by the WHOP Family of Stations at 220 Dink Embry’s Buttermilk Road.
