Unemployment was down from October to November in eight of nine Pennyrile counties.
Christian County’s jobless rate was 4.6 percent, which equated to 1,151 people who were looking for work and unable to find it. That number was two-tenths of a point less than October and one-tenth less than November of 2021.
Todd County continues to boast the region’s lowest unemployment rate at 3.4 percent, down two-tenths from October, but up a half-point from a year ago.
Trigg County was the only county with a higher jobless rate, rising a tenth to 4.6 percent in November. It’s also eight-tenths higher than the number from November of 2021.
Muhlenberg County has the highest unemployment in the region at an even 6 percent.
