All of western Kentucky is likely to see rain for the next few days, with rainfall possibly becoming quite heavy at some points.
Between Friday night and next Tuesday, the region could see upwards of two inches of rainfall, with locally higher amounts possible where clouds linger and thunderstorms might form. Localized flooding issues could develop in the usual low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Monday in Monday night does bring the chance of a few strong or maybe severe storms—there’s still plenty of uncertainty on what kind of severe weather might be in the area or where, but gusty winds and heavy rainfall are a possibility.
On the upside, the rain is likely to bust whatever remaining drought conditions linger in the area.
