Todd County Emergency Management, along with the water districts and department in Todd County, are urging residents to continue to conserve water when possible.
In a statement, officials say the recent severe temperatures have caused water usage to increase dramatically, and as the temperatures warm there are going to be leaks that will continue to strain the capacity of the systems.
Citizens are urged to make sure all faucets are turned off and to delay any unnecessary use of water for the time being. If you see water coming from the ground or standing in areas where it does not usually, report that to your water supplier or to the Todd County Dispatch center at 270-265-2501.
The request is issued jointly by the Todd County Water District, City of Elkton Water Department, City of Trenton Water Department, City of Guthrie Water Department and the Logan Todd Regional Water Commission.
