Tennessee man facing charges following high-speed Christian Co. pursuit

A Tennessee man is facing numerous charges following a high-speed pursuit from Monday night in Christian County.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, a Flock camera reported that a vehicle that was reportedly stolen out of Georgia was in the area of McLean Avenue and McLean Street around 10:40 p.m.  Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle in question but the driver—25-year-old Dylan Casey of Memphis, Tennessee—failed to stop and instead fled eastbound on West Seventh Street at a high-rate of speed, failing to stop at red-lights and other traffic control devices.

The pursuit continued, but was called off due to road conditions. Casey and the vehicle were located later in the evening, when a K9 unit was dispatched to locate him after he fled on foot through a field.  He allegedly refused to comply before being taken into custody.

Casey is charged with resisting arrest, second-degree disorderly conduct, driving on a DUI-suspended license, first-degree wanton endangerment, receiving stolen property, theft of a motor vehicle registration plate, possession of marijuana, speeding, and two counts of first-degree fleeing or evading police.
