Public library to host digital literacy classes in January

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library will be host to digital literacy classes starting in January, and those who feel they struggle with technology are encouraged to sign-up.

Appearing on WHOP Tuesday morning, Executive Director DeAnna Sova says the first program kicks-off on January 5 at 11 a.m. with computer basics, and from there it will cover email basics, internet basics and the basics of mobile devices.

She says you can sign-up to take part on the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library website—but since these is for those who might find that difficult, you can also call the library, and they’ll sign you up over the phone.

You can give them a call at (270) 887-4262. This is a free program with limited availability that is made possible through a partnership with Connected Nation and AT&T Kentucky. Connected Nation is a non-profit organization from Bowling Green, KY, with a mission to improve lives by providing innovation solutions that expand access, adoption and use of highspeed internet and technologies to all people.
