A man was arrested on a burglary charge Thursday afternoon after he allegedly stole tools from a building on South Fowler Avenue earlier this week.
A Hopkinsville police detective investigating the crime located a man matching the suspect description, 41-year old Isaac Dodd of Hopkinsville, walking near the police department.
The victim had confronted the perpetrator and the report says Dodd was wearing the same clothes Thursday that the suspect had on Tuesday.
Dodd agreed to speak to the officer and reportedly said he had been sent to the victim’s home to get tools for another person.
Police say Dodd was carrying a bucket Thursday that contained tools and various building supplies.
The victim was able to identify Dodd as the perpetrator and he was arrested for third-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools.
