The number of new covid cases was down slightly last week, while the positivity rate actually increased a bit.
There were 5,214 new cases in the last week, about 500 cases less than the prior week. The positivity rate was up by about a half point to 8.63 percent.
Another 51 Kentuckians have died from the virus, bringing the pandemic death toll to 17,580.
Hospitalizations are also up slightly in Kentucky for covid.
