Man arrested on nine warrants following traffic stop

A traffic stop on Fort Campbell Boulevard Saturday night led to the arrest of a Hopkinsville man on nine outstanding warrants.

The Hopkinsville police report says 34-year old Andraous Moore of Hopkinsville pulled into the Rodeway Inn parking lot at a high rate of speed and when he noticed officers, he sped up and cut across the lot and crossed Fort Campbell Boulevard before stopping in the lot of Harbor Freight.

He was charged with careless driving and a computer check showed he was sought on nine warrants—one for escape and two for contempt of court—all related to unpaid child support, three for failing to appear in court, one for receiving stolen property related to a stolen SUV he allegedly drove until it caught on fire and burned, and another for burglary.

That one alleges he went inside a home and storage shed on Hillside Terrace in June and left with stolen property.
