The toy drive to benefit kids in eastern Kentucky who were impacted by devastating flooding earlier this year continues until December 14.
Kentucky’s first lady wants to make sure those children have gifts under the Christmas tree this year, saying it’s her hope that this will be just as successful as the toy-drive that was held to support western Kentucky families when they were hit by tornadoes on December 10 and 11 last year.
Hundreds of thousands of gifts were donated during that initiative and gifts for this year’s toy drive can be mailed to Jenny Wiley State Resort Park. Donations must be unwrapped, so families will have the chance to select items that most fit their child.
The toy drive is to benefit children of all ages, from infants to teens and gifts can range from toys to books to arts and crafts and everything in between.
